A Quick Blog Update + Reader Survey

Apr 22 22 Comments

I originally started this blog as place where I could encourage other women and families to pursue simple living and adventure, and where I could document my journey toward a more simple life and share about our travels. I still love to write about both these topics, but what I didn’t expect to enjoy so much is writing about marriage, relationships, motherhood, and other topics that relate to regular, ordinary life.

I’ve felt quite a bit of internal tension lately, as if I’m doing something wrong for not writing through my original lens all the time. Ultimately, I love this little community, and as much as I write for my own purposes (accountability, expression, creativity), I also write for you. My goal with every single post I publish is to provide “me too” moments for readers — opportunities for you to feel known, validated, encouraged, or challenged.

Blog Update and Reader Survey

To that end, I want to know more about what you like to read here on The Nested Nomad, what you’re not as excited about, and what you think about some new ideas I have. If you’ve been a reader for any length of time, I’d love for you to share your feedback with me.

As a thank you for taking this survey, you can leave your email address to be entered to win a $10 Starbucks gift card. (You will not be added to my mailing list — this is simply a way of saying thanks for your time!) Of course, if you’d prefer to take this survey anonymously, that’s okay too.

I appreciate every single one of you who read and participate in this little community — this blog would not be what it is without you! I’m really excited to hear your thoughts as we chart the path forward for this space.
